Accreditations:          Licensed Residential Care facility by the Department of Human Services Children, Adult and Families division

 

New Avenues for Youth offers the following programs:

 

·          24-hour a day Reception Center for youth picked up by Portland Police for status offenses and minor misdemeanors.  Offer short-term individual and family therapy. Operated jointly with Janus youth programs.  Located at 324 SW 9th Ave, Portland.  Phone number 503-223-2050.

·          Day Services Center operated 6 days per week, 7 hours per day Monday thru Saturday.  Offer meals, showers, laundry, clothing, groups and activities, safety off the street to homeless youth ages 13-21 referred into the Homeless Youth Continuum.  Located at 812 SW 10th Ave., Portland.

·          Case Management program providing clinical case management to homeless youth ages 13-21 in crisis services and in our Transitional Housing program.

·          Metamorphosis Alcohol and Drug program provides services to youth dealing with A&D use by offering assessment, counseling, psychiatric services, peer support, and a variety of education, skill building, and recreation groups.  Metamorphosis is a collaboration between agencies in the Homeless Youth Continuum, DePaul treatment centers, and Cascadia behavioral health.  

·          Transitional Housing program providing dorm style living in 24-bed facility to youth ages 14-21.  Offer 24 hour a day supervision and support.  Housing for teen parents.  Located at 1220 SW Columbia, Portland.

·          Independent Living Program. Case Management and financial resources for youth living independently in community apartments.

·          Portland Public schools certified Alternative Education program offering year-round school, GED preparation and testing, and Individualized Education Plan support.

·          PAVE Career Training Program offering youth the skills, education and training opportunities they need to obtain long term, living wage employment.
