Program Description

Charis Ridge is a Level 4 BRS program contracted which serves nine male adolescents ages 12 to17 (at intake).  Referrals are made directly to the program director.  The program is designed to serve youth with sexually offending behaviors.  Beyond this, youth may display the following behaviors:  school difficulties, poor relationships with peers and adults, family problems, poor coping and social skills, other law violations and mental health issues.  Inappropriate referrals include: arsonist, behaviors which indicate psychosis, youth with IQ below 80, youth with significant substance abuse issues.

Community safety is a major issue and all youth must be able to function in a public school setting with.  Charis Ridge is located in the Gresham School District and is able to meet needs of students who have active Behavioral and Learning Disabilities IEP’s. The middle school offers a self-contained classroom for youth who have a behavioral IEP; however, this option is not available in the high school.

Charis Ridge utilizes the Pathways and psychosexual curriculum to address sexually offending behavior and addresses all needs through individual and group counseling.
