Youth Guidance Association operates highly structured residential treatment programs, which emphasize responsibility, self-discipline and accountability. We strive to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of youth and their families.

Program Description
Charis Ridge is a Level 4 BRS program contracted which serves nine male adolescents ages 12 to17 (at intake). Referrals are made directly to the program director. The program is designed to serve youth with sexually offending behaviors. Beyond this, youth may display the following behaviors: school difficulties, poor relationships with peers and adults, family problems, poor coping and social skills, other law violations and mental health issues. Inappropriate referrals include: arsonist, behaviors which indicate psychosis, youth with IQ below 80, youth with significant substance abuse issues.
Community safety is a major issue
and all youth must be able to function in a public school setting with. Charis Ridge is
located in the
Charis Ridge utilizes the Pathways and psychosexual curriculum to address sexually offending behavior and addresses all needs through individual and group counseling.

Program
Description
Turning Point is a unique, Level 4, community based treatment center, providing BRS Services to 9 adolescent girls, ages 12 to 17. The seasoned, long-term staff offers guidance and support as residents make dramatic life changes in a 12-18 month program. Typically youth who enter the program evidence difficulty in one or more of the following areas: acceptance of authority; family relationships; abuse and neglect (physical, sexual, and emotional); self-image; school (truancy and learning disorders), impulsive behavior, drug and alcohol use; and emotional stability (depression, isolation, manic). Some have a history of status offenses, misdemeanors and other law violations and may be on probation through the Juvenile Court. Individual, group, and family counseling is offered, as well as behavioral modification and recreational therapy.
