In this training, participants will learn:

  • In-depth analysis of intersectionality and trauma-informed care approaches
  • Identify values-based actions to incorporate these perspectives in their work
  • Engage with each other in ways to critically examine problems faced in working with individuals, groups, and families

  • People who are passionate about deepening their practice. 
  • People interested in intersectionality and trauma-informed care principles. 
  • Any level of professionals working in social or behavioral health, public policy, organizing, or advocacy work.

About the trainer:

Dr. Crystallee Crain has 15 years’ experience in violence prevention training and program development. Dr. Crain is a leader in equity based planning and project development. She has worked as a lecturer, researcher, and writer. Dr. Crain has a passion for working with communities impacted by poverty, violence, and incarceration. She holds a Masters of Arts in Social Science and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Transformative Inquiry from the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Crystallee Crain Ph.D. is an entrepreneur, academic, and artist. Dr. Crain is a human rights scholar and advocate around the world. She has traveled to 23 countries and counting! She is committed to living her best life and contributing to the highest good in the world. Through her own healing journey, she came to realize her passion for coaching and has been working with individuals and groups for over 10 years. She specializes in working with people with trauma from violence and abuse.
