Who We Are

The Oregon Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the health and well-being of children, families, and communities across the state. Our members are a diverse and growing network of organizations committed to serving Oregon’s youth—at home, in schools, in residential care, and throughout their communities.

We work in close partnership with leaders in government, allied sectors, and the private sphere to shape effective policies, elevate best practices, and marshal the resources necessary to help children thrive. Equally important, we empower Oregonians to become advocates for their own well-being and for the communities they care about.

Together, we address the complex challenges children and families face—from behavioral health and developmental needs to emotional trauma and systemic barriers. We recognize that every Oregon community carries both strengths and unmet needs. That’s why we’re committed to building capacity and expanding access to services that promote health, resilience, and equity.

The Alliance has been a leading voice in bringing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) into Oregon’s public policy conversation. We champion the science and social theory that deepen our understanding—while always grounding our work in the lived experiences of those we serve. Our commitment is to work hand in hand with local communities, sharing decision-making power and responsibility to build lasting resilience.

While Oregon’s existing systems of care provide critical services, they often fall short for too many. The Alliance is working to transform these systems—redefining how care is delivered and who it reaches. Our vision is a more equitable, responsive, and inclusive network of support that promotes sustained well-being for all.

We invite our members and allies to join us in this work. Collaboration is essential. The risks of maintaining the status quo are far greater than the risks of innovating together.
